Please note the annual fee has not been put up this year.

The pre-season quiz has been confirmed for Friday March 12th at North Weald Village hall, meeting at 7pm, with the quiz beginning at 7:30pm when the fish and chip supper will be delivered.

Tickets are £10 a head, and includes fish and chips. Feel free to invite family and friends to what is traditionally a very enjoyable start to the season. If you would like to attend, please call Terry Moore on 01992 523 580.

John Brades who has done so much to raise much needed funds for the club in recent years was elected chairman at the AGM succeeding Geoff Maynard who stood down last summer.
Matthew Barrett is the new Saturday 1st team captain with Ben Marks taking over the helm for the 2nd XI.

Life member Charlie Knight has passed away. Charlie was an amazing leg spinner and a valuable member of our first team for many years. When he stopped playing he continued to support the club and its players with great enthusiasm. He will very sadly missed and our thoughts are with Pam and the rest of Chas's family.

JAN 2010: New kitchen work starts - those hard-working souls Terry Moore and Jim Twitchett have started renovations on a new kitchen in the clubhouse. Destructive work has been done with the help of bonfire men Tony Sanderson, Dan Twitchett, Andrew Hendley and John Brades braving the snow. Creative efforts begin soon. EPPING Cricket Club has awarded its latest Jack Petchey young achiever award to its leading girl star.
Laura Ellis, 15, has been playing in the colts section at the Lower Bury Lane club since she was eight.
During the 2009 season she peformed so well for the club she was asked to represent the West Essex District Board in its first ever under 15s girl side.
She performed well with both bat and ball, taking 5 wickets and scoring 25 runs in a game against Central Essex board.
Laura, of North Weald plays most of her games at Epping alongside boys and has become a skilful and reliable member of the team.
Epping CC colts manager Kevin Preston said: "Laura is one of our most dedicated colts members and fully deserved her call up to the West Essex team."
Epping CC is a member of the Jack Petchey award scheme which rewards young members for their skills and dedication to many organisations, including sports clubs.

It is with great regret that I wish to inform you that one of our Life members, Bill Stock, sadly passed away on Wednesday afternoon. Bill has been a member of the club for a great number of years both as a player, and then an ever present supporter up at the ground throughout the summer. As most of you will know Bill was very popular around the club and will be deeply missed. Our thoughts and prayers and with his family at this difficult time.

I will pass on details of the funeral as and when I hear of them, as I'm sure a great number of you will wish to pay your respects to Bill.
