Match report Epping lost the toss and were put into bat, but they never really got to grips with the game.
On a day when LBW decisions resulted in four dismissals during the innings it can be said that some of the Epping players were far from happy at some of the umpiring decisions.
Anyway brief resistence was put up by D.Taylor 22, R.Cotman 20 and B.Holden 23 and we managed to crawl our way to 97 all out.
When we took the field the team rallied round and our bowling and fielding exploits far exceeded our efforts with the bat. With B.Holden claiming three wickets with some excellent pace bowling and G.Preston turning the screw at the other end we managed to reduce the opposition to 40 for 4 at tea.
However when defending such a small total the opposition finally secured the runs required by 17-23hrs and we came away with one point for our troubles.
