Match report Epping once again lost the toss and were put into bat.
Sanderson and E. Holden made steady progress against a tight bowling attack and put on 41 for the loss of the first wicket.
Epping then went into suicide mode and lost the next four wickets very cheaply as they went from 41 for 1 to 68 for 5.
However Barrett and Farrar steadied the ship with Barrett hitting 37 and Farrar contributing with 30 moved the score along to 116 for the loss of the next wicket.
The rest of the team played there part and we finished on 148 all out just two runs short of another couple of batting points.
After tea Epping opened the bowling with Billy Holden and Graham Preston who tried in vain to break the opening partnership of Ongar but to no avail.
At 68 for 1 Epping were looking at defeat in a big way,however a change of tactics were called for and two spinners were brought on to see if they could change the game.
Eddie Holden and Mahesh Weerakoon not only changed the game but laid the foundations for what seemed an unlikely victory. Holden taking 4 for 14 in 9 overs and Weerakoon chipping in with similar figures of 4 for 20 in 9.5 overs, Terry Moore claimed the other wicket and Ongars innings came to a close when Paris tried to drive Weerakoon and Barrett claimed the decisive wicket with a great reaction catch in the covers. Ongar had gone from 68 for 1 to 112 all out.
