Epping Cricket Club Saturday 1st v Benfleet on Sat 19 May 2007 at 1pm
Epping Cricket Club Lost 9 wkts

Match report Epping 24 lost to benfleet 25 for 1 by 9 wickets

It was carnage at lower bury lane for epping as the home side were skittled out for their lowest score for 20 years.
Epping were dismissed for just 24 in 20 hectic overs.
Visitors benfleet won a crucial toss and inserted the home side on a wicket that was barely playable after midweek rain.
From 11 for 0 epping subsided to 15 for 8 as benfleet bowlers Hancock and miles caused mayhem.
Hancock took 5 for 7 in his 10 overs and partner miles picked up 5 for 15.
Epping opener top scored with 6 and there were four ducks in the batting chaos.
And while the pitch was very difficult to play on epping committed suicide with some very injudicious shots.
With benfleet starting their reply at 2.30pm chasing 25 to win the game was never going to last long.
Tim Adams did remove paul tremain to give epping one wicket.
But the visitors took just 5 overs to score the 25 needed and give them a crushing 9 wicket win.
