EPPING won the local derby with Ongar thanks to a brilliant performance from their bowlers.
The Lower Bury Lane men strangled the visitors, restricting them to just 136 off a massive 60 overs.
The Epping bowlers sent down 17 maidens as their unnerving accuracy prevented Ongar from scoring freely.
Tim Adams was the chief destroyer for Epping taking a brilliant 5 for 44 off 22 accurate overs.
He got good support from old stager colleague Dave Bickley who recorded figures of 16.4 overs 6 maidens 3 wickets for 28 runs.
Shahid Majeed, Marc Webb and Jacob Ellis all bowled tightly as well to allow Ongar no leeway at all to break the Epping bowling shackles.
Ongar skipper Dave Hetherington looked in good form until he was bowled by Adams for 21 and.
The only other Ongar bats to record double figures were David Coles, 24, D Powell 28 and MAdcock 12.
Epping's reply started well with Marc Webb and Dan Taylor striking the ball, but when Taylor went for 9 the wobble started.
Webb slapped a long hop to square leg for 12 and then Alex Merritt was bowled for a duck.
Jacob Ellis provided some Epping stability with a confident 27 but when he departed and Dan Twitchett was bowled for 7 the game was in the balance with Epping on 60 for 5.
Epping skipper Geoff Maynard steadied the ship with Simon Oliver (12) however.
Maynard carried his bat with 48 not out and with support from Dave Bickley (15no) saw his side home after just 31 overs with 10 overs to spare.
