Match report Epping secured a comfortable 8 wicket win over Bardoli to record 2nd win in 2
games in the Essex Sunday League
Bardoli won the toss and decided to bat with cloudy comditions at the lane.
Eppings openers Dean Majeed and Prish Roy bowled well with some help from the
Epping track but it was the grandad of the side Shahid Majeed with a miserly 8-
2-16-1 who turned the screw on Bardoli in the middle of the innings assisted by
the impressive Arron Jaques who toke figuers of 4-1-12-1 then Dean Majeed
return to the attack to mop up the tail and toke 8-1-40-3 the only Bardoli
batsman to show any aggrestion was the hard hitting Ibrahim with 52 not out
with Bardoli finishing with and average 209 all out
Eppings reply started in explosive style with the two dans (Twitcheet and Sly)
punishing anything wide, before Twitchet was trapped leg before on 13 in came
Dan "the dough boy" Taylor to come and continue the assult on the Bardoli
target, Epping with hard hitting, placement and a partnership of 98 between Sly
and Taylor was the momentum Epping needed before Taylor was bowled playing all around a ball on middle and off,
In came the mighty midget Jason Whiting making his Epping return he
confidently hit the ball to all parts of the home of cricket and Epping coasted
to 213 with 8 overs to go with Whiting making his 50not out in 40 balls and Sly
86 Not out. An excellent Epping win the skipper Majeed said "The Tea was really good"
