Match report Epping lost the toss and on a glorius hot sunny day were put into the field. On a good track Southend made 237 for 6 declared after 48 overs.
After tea Epping made a good start in response and had made 60 odd for the loss of one wicket. Twitchett junior and Offord continued to push the score along before Offord was unluckily run out after the bowler deflected a drive by Twitchett on to the stumps after Offord failed to make his ground after backing up.This proved to be the turning point in the game with the next four wickets falling for 8 runs. Lycett was next man in after this mini collapse and him and Twitchett batted the rest of the match out for a draw with Lycett on 22 and Twitchett junior who carried his bat for a fine 65.
