Match was Drawn Epping drew with Stanford Le Hope

Match report Epping won the toss and put Sanford in to bat and with some good line and length bowling kept the score down to just over 70 at the half way stage.
The bowling continued to the same effect after tea until Stanfords captain Hitchcock came to the crease and the run rate started to slowly climb. At the end of their 52 overs Stanford just made the 200 mark for the loss of 7 wickets.
After tea Merritt and Twitchett jnr. opened and started off well until Merritt was caught for 10 with score on 27. Offord was the next man in and continued to make inroads in to the target until Offord was caught on 29 with 98 on the board. Dan Taylor came and went for 5 as he played on trying to drive, Kayani was the next man in and him and Twitchett jnr. pushed the score along to 142 before Twitchett was bowled for a fine 61. Kayani was out 2 runs later for 24 and he was soon followed by Holden who failed to make an impact on the score when he was out for a duck with the score on 144 for 6. Twitchett snr came and went for 3 but Khan who had came in after Kayani still kept chipping away at the total but when he was out LBW for 27 it was time to put up the shutters and bat out for the draw with Stephen (The Curator) Hyde on 8 and Graham Preston on 0. So the match ended in a draw with Epping trying to chase a total in 40 overs which Stanford amassed in 52.
