Match report It was a Lovely weather for Cricket on Sunday the 8th of July 2018. Two local rivals have made their appearance once again on Sunday at Epping Cricket club’s ground to play their First Friendly match of the Season. With the support of Our official Sponsor Kare Plus we have managed to organise a Cup game between us with the format of who ever wins will keep it obviously keeping alive the same spirit of Sunday Friendly cricket!

On the Match day Epping Foresters Cricket club won the toss and elected to bat first. Their opener started very well and kept the control of score board all the time.

They have managed to score 291 by losing 8 wickets with the help batting Ton of S. Needham 119 and skipper Hurwood’s 57.

On the other hand Epping’s Top wicket taker Hayder Ali been successful once again by taking 3 crucial wickets.

In return Epping started to Bat really sensibly and kept going with a Healthy run rate! But chasing nearly 300 in 40 overs became really unreachable when few quick wickets fall. Tough Hayder Ali showed his continuous form and scored 40 before getting out.
At the end Epping Cricket club manage to get only 213 of 8 after 40 overs .

S. Needham won the Man of the Match title for his extraordinary batting performance.

Exciting cricket being played throughout the day. And we all have enjoyed!

Two clubs will play once again in August 12 at Foresters ground to compete for the Cup.

Hope our little effort of bringing Cup game will attract many youngsters to join local clubs and will inspire them to involve in physical activities rather playing games on PlayStations!
